At a Glance
Aqua Engineering has constructed many municipal sewage water plants for cities in Europe, Africa, and China.
The processes employed ranged from conventional continuous activated sludge processes, sequence batch reactor systems and other, often including sludge processing up to drying and biogas handling solutions. Employed processes were tailored to meet local government effluent quality criteria for safe discharge to environment or re-use in agriculture and other purpose.
Plants delivered range from 50 m3/d up to 225.000 m3/day and have been successfully delivered under EPC or M&E turnkey project contracts to mainly governmental customers.
Over time, Aqua Engineering has successfully delivered beside some containerized solutions more than to 20 plants of stationary design with a total capacity of over 2.000.000 m3/d of treated sewage to clean effluent. The largest plant capacities installed are in China at Jinan with more than 1 million population equivalent (PE) treatment capacity.
The largest reference sewage treatment plant delivered in Europe is the 360.000 PE sewage treatment plant for the City of Ljubljana, Slovenia, which included sludge drying and biogas to power solutions as well as 1 year of trial operation of plant.
